Sunrider Ranch empowers current and aspiring food system leaders, particularly those from underserved, Indigenous, and rural BIPOC communities by providing immersive agricultural training, leadership development, and economic pathways that strengthen and sustain local food systems. Our programs are designed to help individuals build durable, profitable, and culturally grounded agricultural businesses.

Rooted in lived experience, intergenerational knowledge, and real-world practice, Sunrider Ranch believes that the deepest lessons in agriculture cannot be confined to four walls. True wisdom lives in the soil, the seasons, the animals, and the people who steward them. This philosophy is the foundation of our Live Experience Programs, hands-on learning immersions that teach participants by doing.

Here, learners gain the skills that real food system leadership requires, from soil health and regenerative crop techniques to livestock movement on horseback, infrastructure planning, and cold-climate decision-making. Participants work alongside established Food System Leaders to understand not only how agriculture functions, but why each decision matters.
